Enabling collaboration – How PCB engineering teams work together

During this video, you’ll hear from a PCB design expert how an enterprise engineering team can use Xpedition Enterprise to work together to create a complex design from schematic through to layout simultaneously.

Engineering teams can work 70% faster
With enabled collaboration, PCB design teams can get the job done faster. Xpedition supports concurrency throughout the PCB design process. While one engineer can view the design in an ‘edit’ mode, others can view the design in a ‘read-only’ mode. This enables efficiency and collaboration across a team, whether the team is working side-by-side in an office environment or from entirely different locations.

The “Owner” and the “Viewer”
The first user to enter a design is designated the “Owner” where any engineer who enters the design thereafter participates in ‘read-only’ mode. This allows for simultaneous review and collaboration while maintaining security that only one designer has active control of the design. Learn more about how enterprise engineering teams collaborate in this video series, and how to build an effective PCB design flow.
